The fabulous new Dualit toaster

The fabulous new toaster, originally uploaded by Racmol.

Here is what cookware.co.uk has to say about our new toaster:

"The ultimate toaster, this is the design all the celebrities go for - it oozes quality and style.

A true design classic, an object of desire for over 80 years.

It's not just its classic looks, inside is a professional toaster manufactured to such a high standard that you'll never have to buy another toaster again. It will provide fast even toasting every time year after year."

Never have to buy another toaster - did you hear that, Julesy?

Some members of the family may be amused to hear that it doesn't actually pop up. You choose how long you want to toast for and it ticks away then shuts itself off, keeping the toast warm for up to ten minutes.

We were sold, anyway.

Julz got all paranoid when I played with his Laptop... I bet he destroys the new "unbreakable" toaster inside twelve months. Any chance of getting odds on that with Paddy Power?

Let us inform you that our "no name" Warehouse toaster not only looks good but has now lasted a decade at least!

Now I wonder... could it toast MARSHMALLOWS?????

Why would you want to wait 10 minutes before eating your toast anyway?? The early bird gets the toast around here!

Can toast possibly be that important to anyone?

The Dualit toaster is now famous in NZ for being a trojan horse rather than amking bread go brown.

Oh, for Pete's sake! It is just a toaster - get over it, New Zealand. We like it and we didn't pay $499 for it, but even if we had, whose $499 is it anyway?
